The firm offers consultation and design services to the construction industry, construction equipment manufacturers, and crane owners/users. Our work is primarily focused on furnishing engineering support and problem solving for construction contractors. Our mission is to assist clients to construct safely, efficiently, and quickly, and thereby to enhance their reputations and profitability.

Accustomed to working within the short lead times prevalent in the industry, the firm nonetheless is committed to delivering quality services and practical buildable solutions. We meld the benefits of advanced mathematical and analytical techniques with “hands on” field experience to create technically correct, pragmatic designs. The range of services offered includes:

  • Planning and installation design for cranes and construction operations including supports, erection/dismantling, clearances, special equipment and lift accessories,
  • design of alterations and repairs, structural and mechanical troubleshooting, and application of Codes and Standards;
  • planning for complex lifting and rigging operations including design of installations for derricks of all types, special adaptations of derricks and other lift equipment, rigging accessories, multi-crane lifts, operations planning, risk control measures, and on-site assistance;
  • design of temporary structures such as scaffolding, shoring, protection, enclosures, access and work platforms, earth retention and hoists
  • development of procedures for complex steel erection and construction or alteration problems; stability of structures during the course of construction or alteration; temporary and permanent bracing; demolition procedures and operations;
  • proof-of-competence analysis of cranes, derricks, complex structures, and “as built” or damaged structures; and
  • accident investigation and expert testimony, particularly concerning cranes, derricks and rigging.

An independent review service to verify planning or design work done by other parties is offered to builders, contractors, engineers, and construction managers as a risk control measure or to improve efficiency or control costs.
